Pierced Oval – Whitty Down Farm studio
An asymmetrical oval form with each face featuring heavily pierced and indented central bands that join around a dropped opening. The surface textured and coated with porcelain slip, which is then coated with rubbed in oxides. Glazes applied to the central banding and internally. Stoneware clay, high fired with a gas kiln.
